Lewis Critelli President's Message

The first week of March brings two wonderful community events that show just how much Northeastern Pennsylvania has to offer.

On March 7th, “FurrBall 2015” will take place at the Inn at Woodloch in Hawley. This “pawsh” fundraising event will benefit Dessin Animal Shelter and include fine dining, dancing, music, basket raffles, and a live auction. A private, non-profit organization, Dessin Animal Shelter assists in the placement of many animals each year into loving homes.

Also on March 7th is the Monroe County Conservation District’s “38th Public Maple Sugaring Day”. Held at the Meesing outdoor Site in Marshall’s Creek, this event will feature a sugar bush tour complete with information on historic maple syrup methods, the evaporator process, and identifying and tapping a maple tree. The tour will conclude with homemade pancakes topped with fresh maple syrup.

See how much our area has to offer at one of these terrific community events.
