The upcoming weekend brings a terrific event to NEPA. Grab your family and friends and head to Honesdale, the birthplace of the American Railroad, for “National Train Days” from May 9th-10th. It’s the perfect opportunity to enjoy the beautiful May weather and celebrate Mother’s Day.
Hosted by the Greater Honesdale Partnership with support from Wayne County Tourism, this fun-filled event will keep the entire family entertained all weekend long. Explore Honesdale’s unique stores, dine at the delicious local restaurants, and enjoy all of the event festivities including a ride on the Stourbridge Line Passenger Rail Excursions. The Wayne County Historical Society’s museum will host an open house with free admission, craft vendors will line Main Street, and the Wayne County Farmer’s Market will be open at Willow Ave. Don’t miss the Dessin Animal Shelter’s Mother’s Day flower and plant sale, the GHP’s geocaching exhibit, and so much more.
Spend the weekend in downtown Honesdale and see how much this historic city has to offer!
