This week features events from two local organizations that help to make Northeastern Pennsylvania a wonderful place to live.
On May 2nd, the Delaware Highlands Conservancy will host its 8th annual “Foods of the Delaware Highlands Gala Dinner” at The Settlers Inn in Hawley. This event will feature gourmet cuisine prepared with locally grown organic ingredients, wine tastings, and exciting live and silent auctions celebrating local businesses and products. The theme of this year's dinner, “Love where you live!”, highlights the working farms, forests, and exceptional quality of life enjoyed in the Upper Delaware River region.
Then on May 3rd, Habitat for Humanity of Lackawanna County will partner with Scranton Running Company and Lackawanna Heritage Valley to host a 5K Run/Walk and 1 Mile Fun Run. Participants may register in advance for a discounted fee and proceeds will benefit Habitat for Humanity of Lackawanna County, which has provided 29 homes to local families since its founding in 1990.
Attend one of these events and help support NEPA’s valuable local organizations.
