Small Business Administration (SBA) Paycheck Protection Program Loan Forgiveness Portal (10/20/2020)

On behalf of all the employees of Wayne Bank, we sincerely hope that you and your family are doing well and remain healthy during these times of uncertainty. We know many of you are eager to begin the process of applying for SBA Paycheck Protection Program loan forgiveness.

On the evening of October 7, the Small Business Administration and Treasury Department updated the Paycheck Protection Program to address the deferral period extension granted by the PPP Flexibility Act of 2020. The extension allows borrowers to defer payments of principal, interest and fees on PPP loans for 10 months from the date of origination. We will automatically provide this extension to ALL borrowers to allow additional time for the forgiveness process.

Congress recently passed the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act, which will provide emergency relief programs for business owners. Upon implementation of the CARES Act, there will be many resources available for small businesses, nonprofits, and other organizations. We are eagerly awaiting guidance from the Small Business Administration (SBA). They are expected to have policies and procedures in place over the next two weeks. Due to the progression of COVID-19, Wayne Bank Community Offices will be accessible via drive-thru ONLY, from March 18, 2020 through April 1, 2020.  All locations will be operating during normal business hours.  Our Hamden, NY Community Office, which does not have drive-up banking, will have reduced lobby hours.  For any assistance with a loan inquiry or any deposit account, you may schedule an appointment by calling (800) 598-5002.

Wayne Bank is actively monitoring the Coronavirus (COVID19) situation every day. Our Business Continuity Planning Committee is reviewing ongoing developments from the Center for Disease Control (https://cdc.gov) and the World Health Organization (https://www.who.int/).

We are committed to providing an environment that protects the safety of our customers and employees. Wayne Bank has a well-documented and tested Business Continuity Plan to ensure that the Bank will continue to provide the service and support our customers depend on daily.

As your trusted community bank, we understand that access to our banking services may be critical to you. We continue to operate all our branches with normal banking hours. Many of our products and services also are available electronically, including Bill Pay and Mobile Deposit Capture. If you don’t currently utilize our online/mobile banking services, I encourage you to consider signing up for them. Our ATMs are also available to give you additional flexibility outside of normal banking hours.

Coronavirus (COVID-19) Pandemic Information (3/12/2020)

Wayne Bank is closely monitoring the evolving circumstances related to the Coronavirus (COVID-19). Management actively reviews the most current guidance from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), World Health Organization (WHO), and state and local authorities and make proactive adjustments to our preparedness and response plan.

The health and well-being of our staff and customers is paramount. We have an unwavering commitment to provide reliable service and protect our customer’s finances. Wayne Bank has well-documented and tested business continuity plans to ensure we will continue to seamlessly provide the service and support you depend on daily.

We have established a company-wide reporting process to identify any employee with emerging symptoms consistent with the flu or Coronavirus and take immediate actions to avoid exposure to customers and associates.

Current advice for minimizing your risk of spreading any virus:

  • If you are sick, stay home.
  • Wash hands with hot water and soap for at least 20 seconds.
  • Use alcohol based hand sanitizer.
  • Cough/sneeze into your sleeve or use a tissue.
