Wayne Bank Supports Third Annual Jog For Jude

Scranton, PA – On Sunday, April 23, the third annual Jog For Jude will return to the Dunmore Community Center. Hosted by the Jude Zayac Foundation, the race will include a 5K and 1 Mile Fun Walk/Run to raise funds and awareness for S.I.D.S. research. Both races will begin promptly at 9 am and various awards will be given out to top finishers.

Following the race, the Zayac family will host a day of family fun with a community celebration featuring food and drinks, basket raffles, face painting, a bounce house, a DJ, a memorial balloon release, and more.

“The Jude Zayac Foundation was established in memory of Jude Zayac, who sadly passed away from S.I.D.S., or Sudden Infant Death Syndrome,” explained Matt Swartz, Wayne Bank’s Central Scranton Community Office Manager and one of the organizers of the event. “S.I.D.S. is the number one cause of death in children under one year of age in the U.S. The mission of the Foundation is to raise funds, support S.I.D.S. research, and enrich the lives of children in the community through this incredibly positive event that has grown in size every year. It’s going to be a great race with a community-wide celebration following and I hope that everyone can come out to show support and have some fun.”
