Honesdale, PA – Lewis J Critelli, President and Chief Executive Officer of Wayne Bank, is pleased to announce that the Bank will support the Greater Pike Community Foundation - EIO with a donation through the Educational Improvement Organization Program.

Audrey Bailey-Hocker of the Greater Pike Community Foundation accepted a check in the amount of $10,000.00 from Mr. Critelli.

The gift was made possible as a result of the Educational Improvement Tax Credit Program offered by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, acting through the Department of Community and Economic Development. “Wayne Bank is proud to be able to support the valuable work of the Greater Pike Community Foundation through this program,” stated Mr. Critelli. “We are so pleased that this contribution will aid J.T. Lambert Intermediate School students with the new ‘Take it OUTSIDE’ program.”

This contribution will support the Eco-Action Club at J.T. Lambert Intermediate School in the East Stroudsburg Area School District, as part of the “Take it OUTSIDE” program. This exciting new initiative will include the creation of an interactive trail on school property, designed for students to bring their studies to life. Using their Chromebooks, students will be able to snap QR codes placed strategically on the trail and use the downloaded inquiry-based content to explore the landscape around them.
