Wayne Bank Wins Spookyfest Award

Wayne Bank was recently honored with an award in the commercial category at the 4th Annual Canaltown Short Spooky Movie Festival. The festival, locally referred to as Spookyfest, took place on Saturday, October 21, at The Cooperage in Honesdale. The Bank’s winning entry was entitled Financial Phobia and was themed around a fear of banking stemming from poor customer service.

Financial Phobia was recorded in the Bank with Barbara Keesler, Accounting Specialist; Brandi Rollison, Electronic Banking Representative; and Bonnie Taylor, Assistant Trust Officer; and filmed by Eli Tomlinson, Information Security Officer.

“We’re so grateful to Canaltown for bringing Spookyfest to Honesdale. It’s such a fun event and a great opportunity for the local business community to express some creativity,” said Mr. Tomlinson. The award is one more way to showcase our talented employees, Barb, Brandi, and Bonnie, who were truly the stars of this film. Although credit also goes to the wonderful staff at Wayne Bank, who give tremendous customer service every day so that none of our customers ever have to experience financial phobia. We’re looking forward to the challenge of topping this year’s commercial with our entry next year!”
