Wayne Bank Celebrates Serving the Lakewood Community for Twenty Years

Lakewood, PA – On Friday, March 11, Wayne Bank’s Lakewood Community Office will be celebrating twenty years of serving northern Wayne County. Wayne Bank acquired the Lakewood office from Meridian Bancorp and began attending to customers in March 1996.

Originally built across from the Preston School by the County National Bank of Montrose in 1988, Wayne Bank’s Lakewood office has been an anchor in Preston Township, with customers regularly visiting from Northern Wayne County and eastern Susquehanna County, as well Delaware County, New York.

“We serve a large geographical area, and recognize that many of our customers travel some distance to see us. We love seeing them and it is a great motivator knowing that you can make it worth their trip,” stated Vonnie Lewis, Community Office Manager of Wayne Bank’s Lakewood Office.

To celebrate the 20th Anniversary, Vonnie and her staff will have refreshments and treats available during business hours on Friday, March 11. The public is welcome to attend. No purchase is necessary and while Wayne Bank plans on providing lots of goodies for the festivities, the offer is only good while supplies last.

Wayne Bank is a subsidiary of Norwood Financial Corp., Member FDIC, and is located in Honesdale, Pennsylvania. The Bank has fifteen Community Offices in Wayne, Pike, Monroe, and Lackawanna Counties. The stock trades on the NASDAQ Global Market under the symbol – NWFL.
