The Cooperage Project receives Villaume Foundation Grant

Honesdale, PA – The Board of The John and Helen Villaume Foundation has announced that The Cooperage Project has been selected to receive one of the Foundation’s 2015 community grant awards.

Board Members, Pennell Whitney, Jeff George, Matthew L. Meagher, Esq., Edward Cremo, Doni Hoffman and Kay Reynolds, on behalf of The Cooperage Project, received a check in the amount of $2,500.00 from Villaume Foundation board members Dr. Paula Bennett and Paul Edwards.

The Cooperage Project is a non-profit organization located on Main Street in Honesdale, which offers a variety of performance events, learning opportunities and promotes good works through instructive and entertaining activities that engage, challenge and enlighten people of all ages. The funds from the Villaume grant will be used to bring live theatre to The Cooperage by partnering with Ghostlight Productions of Clarks Summit and Gaslight Theatre Company of Wilkes-Barre. The John and Helen Villaume Foundation established by Honesdale natives John and Helen Villaume was created to benefit charitable, religious, scientific, literary and educational programs within Wayne County. Since its inception, the Foundation has made awards totaling over $1,000,000.00 with Wayne Bank managing the account in the Wealth Management and Trust Services Division of Wayne Bank.
