Wayne Bank Supports Scranton ‘Back to School Bonanza’

Scranton, PA – On August 23, Wayne Bank employees spent Sunday afternoon supporting the University of Scranton’s ‘Back to School Bonanza’ for area children.

Working from the event on Lackawanna County Courthouse Square in downtown Scranton, bank employees were led by Community Office Manager Matthew Swartz and Lackawanna County Regional Manager John Koczwara. The team promoted financial literacy through interactive games as well as the distribution of notebooks and pencils to over 500 local students.

Noted John Koczwara, “The weather was great, student participation was inspiring, and event organizers did a great job of promoting a well organized and very successful ‘Back to School Bonanza’. It was a great opportunity for us to partake in a fun and educational community event.”
