Wayne Bank's Scranton Office Unveils Technology Demo Center

Honesdale, PA – The Central Scranton Community Office of Wayne Bank located at 216 Adams Avenue has recently added a Technology Demo Center to help customers learn about the various ways they can access their accounts online. There are a variety of electronic devices available to use for online banking and mobile banking services at the Technology Demo Center. The staff is fully versed in the electronic services and devices to assist customers by teaching them how the devices interact with Wayne Bank’s services and how to register to be able to conduct their banking transactions or check their accounts balances online.

The younger generation, ages 18 to 34, referred to as ‘millennials’ are the future of the banking industry and are technologically savvy when it comes to using electronic devices such as iPhones®, Android phones, iPad® and Android tablets in addition to laptops and personal computers. They are constantly online for all kinds of information and at some point in their lives they will be in the market for checking accounts, mortgages and loan products. Additionally, many traditional customers who like to visit a community office, are starting to see the value of being able to bank anywhere and anytime by using their Smart Phone, iPad® or Android devices and of course, their personal computers. They need a little more personal assistance to get started with online banking and Wayne Bank’s staff is able to help them.

According to Mr. Lewis J. Critelli, President and Chief Executive Officer of Wayne Bank, “Our mission is to have banking services available electronically and we have rolled out online banking which includes bill payment, eStatements, interbank transfers and everything you need to handle your finances online. In addition, with Smart phones and tablets, all of those services and more are available at Wayne Bank including Mobile Capture which offers customers the ability to make a deposit with their Smart phones, the newest addition to Wayne Bank’s suite of services”. Robert J. Mancuso, Executive Vice President & Chief Information Officer, stated, “We will be adding more electronic services for our customers to offer the ease and flexibility to bank anywhere at any time”.
